Support

ApexLap is a lap timer and driving coach for cars, motorcycles and karts, for iPhone and Apple Watch. It is in early access: being tested on track, and free while we test.

My account and my data

• Delete my account: Career → Account → Delete account. This removes your account, sessions, vehicles and tracks from our server and from that iPhone.
• Get a copy of my data: Career → Account → Export my data. You get a file with your profile, vehicles, tracks and sessions, including GPS positions. Vehicle photos are not included.
• Hide me from other drivers: in your Profile, opened from Career. Drivers under 18 are hidden by default.
• Use the app without an account: everything stays on your iPhone. An account is only for keeping your data on all your devices.

Timing and GPS

• Lap times are estimated from GPS and are not official timing. A lap shows how well GPS saw the finish line.
• Open sky helps. A phone in a pocket or a metal dash can lose GPS for a few seconds.
• Braking zones, acceleration and the racing line are estimates from speed. ApexLap does not measure brake, throttle, steering or lean angle.

Apple Watch

• The watch records a session by itself. Sessions reach the iPhone when the two are near each other.
• If a session doesn't arrive, open ApexLap on both devices and keep them close for a minute.
